Merge branch 'jc/maint-1.7.4-pathspec-stdin-and-cmdline'

Update the fix for 1.7.5 maintenance track.

* jc/maint-1.7.4-pathspec-stdin-and-cmdline:
  setup_revisions(): take pathspec from command line and --stdin correctly
