Merge branch 'kw/merge-recursive-cleanup'

A leakfix and code clean-up.

* kw/merge-recursive-cleanup:
  merge-recursive: change current file dir string_lists to hashmap
  merge-recursive: remove return value from get_files_dirs
  merge-recursive: fix memory leak
