Merge branch 'jk/maint-gc-auto-after-fetch' into jk/gc-auto-after-fetch 

* jk/maint-gc-auto-after-fetch:
  fetch-pack: avoid repeatedly re-scanning pack directory
  fetch: run gc --auto after fetching
