# 2021-rms-allegiations
Open research repository processing the allegiations agains Richard Matthew Stallman by OSI lobbists
> Stallman has [made](https://stallman.org/archives/2006-mar-jun.html#05%20June%202006%20%28Dutch%20paedophiles%20form%20political%20party%29) [many](https://stallman.org/archives/2012-jul-oct.html#15_September_2012_%28Censorship_of_child_pornography%29) [posts](https://stallman.org/archives/2003-may-aug.html) sympathizing...[1]
All of those have a disclaimer of:
> These are my personal opinions and do not speak for the GNU Project, the FSF, or anyone else.
So why should they be taken as something credible and actionable?
Following on https://i.imgur.com/lkRIJHP.png based on currently available informations i consider the claims on https://politics.slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=2600852&cid=38567070 being taken out of context.

> However, in 2018 he [defended](https://web.archive.org/web/20180924231708/https://www.stallman.org/archives/2018-jul-oct.htmldefended) Cody Wilson, who [later pled guilty to sex with an underage girl](https://www.austinchronicle.com/news/2019-09-20/gun-activist-cody-wilson-gets-probation-in-sex-case/), with Stallman saying that the girl likely had "entirely willing sex with him." Stallman [changed his original post](https://www.stallman.org/archives/2018-jul-oct.html#23_September_2018_(Cody_Wilson)) but nevertheless still said it is "normal for adults to be physically attracted to adolescents" and that adults using trafficked children shouldn't be legally responsible[1]
> Cody Wilson has been charged with [hiring a "child" sex worker](https://web.archive.org/web/20180924231708/https://gizmodo.com/3d-printed-gun-activist-cody-wilson-charged-with-sexual-1829168263). Her age has not been announced, but I think she must surely be a teenager, not a child. Calling teenagers "children" in this context is a way of smearing people with normal sexual proclivities as "perverts".[1]
Reading the mentioned `23 September 2018 (Cody Wilson) ` in https://web.archive.org/web/20180924231708/https://www.stallman.org/archives/2018-jul-oct.html
I woudn't interpret this as him supporting Cody Wilson in the matter, but rather questioning the system and the way that he got charged as he seems to believe that Wilson hired a sex worker who was above the age of consent while being called a "child" instead of a "teen".
FWIW i find questioning the system and our politics a healthy thing to do.

> For many years, Richard has been doing a schtick about "St. Ignutius" that involves [Sexist humor](https://geekfeminism.wikia.org/wiki/Sexist_humor). His performance of this shtick in July 2009 sparked the [EMACS virgins joke](https://geekfeminism.wikia.org/wiki/EMACS_virgins_joke) incident.[1]
i find this credible, but would argue him playing a role where these claims seems to be politically motivated so i personally don't see why this should be something used agains him for the same reason why you don't charge an actor for playing his character.
---
> Rather than handing out business cards, Richard has "pleasure cards" which describe his personal interests, including "tender embraces". He hands these out to people of any gender, but what may appear whimsical to men who receive them may seem creepy to women. A scan of one of these cards appears in [the epilogue to *Free as in Freedom*](http://oreilly.com/openbook/freedom/ch14.html).[1]
I don't understand what they are trying to say here.. Would agree that "pleasure card" is inappropriate.

> In 1993, [he asked for](http://www.art.net/Studios/Hackers/Hopkins/Don/text/rms-vs-doctor.html) birth announcements to be banned from emacs mailing list, unless they are announcements for seahorses, because then it would be the male that gives birth and therefore interesting.[1]
I don't know what natalism is so i am basing my opinion from info on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Natalism
This is from 1993 why do i even care about it?

> According to Wikipedia, Down's syndrome is a combination of many kinds of medical misfortune. Thus, when carrying a fetus that is likely to have Down's syndrome, I think the right course of action for the woman is to terminate the pregnancy.
>
> That choice does right by the potential children that would otherwise likely be born with grave medical problems and disabilities. As humans, they are entitled to the capacity that is normal for human beings. I don't advocate making rules about the matter, but I think that doing right by your children includes not intentionally starting them out with less than that.
>
> When children with Down's syndrome are born, that's a different situation. They are human beings and I think they deserve the best possible care.
I don't see anything that would bother me there.. Would argue that fetus with a down syndrom shoudn't be terminated unless it makes the child to be born into a life of pain and suffering due to it's medical conditions, but i am not an expert on the subject nor familiar with down syndrome.
