missed my warning email on cockmail (if any...).

plan to get a paid one.

any ideas on the registrar/tld?

one of .xyz, .net, .org or .eu would do.

a nice-to-have would be an option to interact with the registrar over API.

right, resolved by renewing the domain subscription at the existing registrar, be it for a price. still quite cheap, though.

also posted some explanation to our statuspage.

Resolved - the cause of the outage of 2022-06-23/24 was I forgot to renew the domain. yeah, I know. fixed (for now) by renewing the domain subscription for another year @~2022-06-24T20:00+02:00. should probably also set a reminder for this time next year...

we can close this now, a new issue might be open should the need arise again to discuss the domain name and registrar options...
