yeah, it cannot be onionized, it's a clearweb link.
also, for gitea there's currently no way to know if you connect to onion or not.
this will be solved with Onion-Location and Alt-Svc once an onion service is up for the status page.
i.e. you'd still probably be redirected to the clearweb version of the site and then redirected by TB reading the proper headers (if you have auto-redirect turned on).

I meant onionizing the status page so that it provides onion of the clearweb not expecting adaptation for onions further then that in this issue.
